I played the ARMS test-punch these past weekends and thought the game was very fun to play. I had difficulty controlling the movements of my character at first as they wouldn't walk, but I learned to figure it out.
My favorite character so far was Min Min, but I am looking forward to playing as Bite & Bark and Ribbon Girl
I am also looking forward to having new fun stages, like the skate park.
The Arms test-punch was really fun with great online and a great character selection. The main fights were very fun and didn't feel boring in the slightest, and the sports mini games were a great addition and a fun change of pace.My favorite mode was volleyball (which seems to be the most hated), but I really enjoyed the game. I also like the break the targets game as it added a little more variety to the core game.
Another thing I enjoyed was the set up for matches as it was very clear and well designed, setting up matches in bubbles. I also liked that you can make different faces with different buttons before playing.
The movements were also very easy to do, outside of walking, I never had any trouble throwing punches or curving punches or any issues that wuld ruin the game, the controls worked amazingly.
Cons
The battles against the metal skeleton AI weren't that fun for me as it seemed like it was over powered and untouchable through my playtime experience.
Grabs are overpowered as there isn't a good way to block them.
Alternate colors were sometimes really bad, mainly for Master Mummy.
Top characters
1. Min Min - she was my favorite; quick, fun, and decent amount of power
2. Ribbon Girl - Second favorite for same reasons as Min Min
3. Spring Man - Good power, decent movement, and an all around balanced character
4. Helix - I tried him, but he was too complicated for me
5. Ninjara - Stayed away from him mostly due to the high amounts of Ninjara players and because he wasn't that great for me.
6. Master Mummy - Too Slow, not as rewarding to play as
I didn't play as Mechanica or Twintelle, so can't say anything yet.
